PowerHouse Class Descriptions

TODDLER TIME: (9 months - 3 years)

Gym time for stay at home parents and their little one. Great for interaction with others and activities that include taking turns, balancing, hopping, rolling, jumping and even tummy time. 

2 YEAR OLD:

Basic body movement and control while learning to take turns and work well with others. (45 min.)

Pre-K: See Tumble skills

(Pre-K/ Pre-K 1) beginner 3-4 year olds. (1hr.)

*(Pre-K 2) intermediate 3-5 year olds. (1hr.) *Must be moved by instructor.

KINDERGARTEN: (Ages 5 - 6)

All floor skill progressions from basic through advanced including: rolling skills, handstand skills, limber skills, standing/running power tumbling skills & aerial skills.

TUMBLE 1: (beginner)

All floor skill progressions from basic through advanced including: rolling skills, handstand skills, limber skills, standing/running power tumbling skills & aerial skills.

No Skills required

*TUMBLE 2: (intermediate)

All floor skill progressions from basic through advanced including: rolling skills, handstand skills, limber skills, standing/running power tumbling skills & aerial skills.

*Skills required: handstand, bridge, forward roll, forward straddle roll,backward roll, backward straddle roll, cartwheel

*TUMBLE 3: (advanced)

All floor skill progressions from basic through advanced including: rolling skills, handstand skills, limber skills, standing/running power tumbling skills & aerial skills.

*Skills required: all Tumble 2 required skills, handstand forward roll, handstand limber pull up,backbend kickover

These classes are classified as follows:

(Kindergarten) 5-6 year olds.

(Tumble-1) 5 and up -beginner.

*(Tumble-2) 5 and up -intermediate.

*(Tumble-3) 5 and up -advanced.

HANDSPRINGS 101: (beginner power)

This is the intro class to power tumbling skills such as Round Offs, Handsprings and a combination of these skills and drills.

No skills required

*HANDSPRING/ TUCK: (intermediate power)

This class is designed to target front and back handsprings & tucks, round-offs & combinations of those skills including lead-up drills.

*Skills required: cartwheel, roundoff, handstand bridge up

*ADVANCED POWER TUMBLING: Standing & running back tucks, punch fronts, layouts, fulls & combinations of those skills including lead-up drills.

*Skills required: back handspring & round off backhandspring

*ELITE POWER TUMBLING: Fulls, layouts, punch fronts, standing tucks, arabians & combinations of those skills.

*Skills Required: back tuck, standing 2 back handsprings, round off back handspring back tuck

*FULL CLASS: Fulls and full drills only.

*Skills Required: Back Layout 

OPEN GYM TUMBLE/CHEER:

Instructors in each area for students to choose to work: standing power tumbling, running tumbling & cheer/jump technique.

*CHEERNASTICS: This class is geared around cheerleading skills. Jumps, power tumbling and a combinations of skills that are needed for cheerleading.

*Skills required: cartwheel, roundoff, handstand bridge up

TRY-OUT PREP: (Oct.-March) Designed for athletes getting ready for cheerleading try-outs. This class will give individual "MY TRY OUT" outline and work all around tryout material, voice inflection, spirit, jumps, run outs and motions.

PH-PM (Parkour and More BOYS 8 - 14)

This hour is designed for power flips, tricks, kicks, skills and combinations on and off of different surfaces while focused on safe execution and landings.
